In conjunction with the 2018 Laureus World Sports Awards in Monaco, IWC has announced the Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII Edition “Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.”.

The watch comes in a 41 mm x 11 mm polished black ceramic case with dark blue sunburst dial and black Alpha-shaped hour and minute hands (with white lume), along with a black red-tipped baton-shaped central seconds hand.

A special titanium caseback is engraved with features a Laureus engraving and the individual limited edition number XXXX/1500.

Inside is caliber 35111 which is automatic, beats at 4Hz, and has a 42-hour power reserve.

The blue dial has become the signature trademark of IWC’s special editions for Laureus. This is the 12th edition.

“Like every Laureus special edition, the timepiece features an engraving of the winning entry of the drawing competition that IWC organizes each year within the organization’s supported programmes. The theme for 2017 was “Time to Be Healthy”. The jury selected 11-year-old Ana Claudia’s drawing out of more than 1,000 submissions. Ana participates in a project of Instituto Reação in Brazil.

This organization helps to improve the living conditions of Brazilian children and adolescents through education and sport – and particularly relies on judo to convey values such as respect, discipline, and determination. A part of the proceeds from sales will be used to support Laureus Sport for Good,” according to IWC.

The Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII Edition “Laureus Sport for Good Foundation (Ref. IW324703) is limited to 1,500 pieces and retails for $5,650.
