Introducing the OCEAN7 LM-4 V2 Meteor Ceramic, the second generation of OCEAN7’s original ceramic watch. Previously found only in more expensive timepieces, the LM-4 boasts a premium ceramic case for under a grand. OCEAN7 has really outdone themselves with this timepiece. The ceramic case is 44 mm in diameter by 15 mm in height, with a beautiful matte black finish. The high-tech finish is not only good looking, it is also extremely scratch resistant (ceramic will not get scratched like steel, gold or titanium).

The dial features large easy to read Arabic numerals and hour markers. Oversized hours and minutes hands, orange central seconds hand. Circular date aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock.

The markers and hours and minutes hands are treated with high performance yellow/green C3 Super-Luminova. Optionally, consumers may select orange lume (+$50) or shadow gray lume (+$75).

OCEAN7 says, “If luminosity is of utmost importance, C3 (yellow/green) is the best choice. When charged with light for five minutes, C3 will glow overnight. C3 is at the top of the luminosity chart provided by the Swiss luminous material manufacturer, RC Tritec. Orange and shadow (gray) luminous materials are excellent choices for their unusual aesthetics and design. They will glow at a lower intensity and for a shorter period of time.”

The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with an interior anti-reflective coating. 3D carbon leather strap with oversized black PVD steel buckle (strap is 24 mm wide at lugs). PVD coated steel crown and case back. Screw-down crown. Powered by Swiss ETA automatic movement (optional COSC-certified movement +$399). Water-resistance 100 meters.

A ceramic sports watch with a Swiss automatic movement generally costs, at least, a few thousand dollars. Considering the high quality and low price, the LM-4 is an excellent value. The retail price is $899.
