We found an interesting Omega Ref. 2603-1 dress watch that is scheduled to be sold at the September 18th New York Antiquorum auction. Despite being made in the 1940s, it comes in a modern sized 38 mm diameter (10 mm thick) polished yellow gold-plated steel case. The most notable feature is the beautiful ivory colored honeycomb dial with applied yellow gold baton and dart indexes. Yellow gold feuille style hands display the hour and minutes. Subsidiary seconds are displayed at 6 o’clock.

The movement is manually wound Cal. 30T2 which is rhodium-plated with 15 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring and index regulator. Snap-on caseback. AA condition. Lot 84 estimate $1000-$2000.
