First launched as a stand-alone timepiece, the Pilot line now essentially represents an entire subcollection of the Calatrava.

Initially launched in a 42 mm white gold case in 2015, the Calatrava Pilot Travel Time later came out in a 42 mm 18K rose gold version, a 42 mm stainless steel limited edition, a 42 mm titanium edition for charity, a smaller 37.5 mm 18K rose gold version, and then a 37.5 mm stainless steel limited edition last year.

There’s also a three-hand model from 2017, the Calatrava Pilot Ref. 5522 which was only made available as a limited edition.

Now, with the addition of the Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time Ref. 7234G-001 last week — the Calatrava Pilot line has been extended one reference further. Introducing the 18K white gold version of the 37.5 mm Pilot Travel Time, which according to Patek Philippe is designed “to fit both men’s and ladies’ wrists.”

Presented in the same smaller 37.5 mm x 10.78 mm case as the aforementioned rose gold variant, apart from the new case material, and the blue varnished brass dial with gold applied numerals. — everything else remains the same. The same caliber 324 S C FUS dual-time zone movement, same gold rotor, same 60 meters water-resistance rating, and so forth.
