Beginning next Friday, Phillips London will host an exhibition in collaboration with British luxury menswear brand Thom Sweeney, along with up to 25 important watches from brands including Philippe Dufour, Vianney Halter, Richard Mille, Romain Gauthier, Ludovic Ballouard, and F.P. Journe, as well as timepieces by Rolex and Patek Philippe.

The watches have been personally selected by James Marks, International Specialist and Director, and his colleagues from the Phillips’ international watch team, and the co-founders of Thom Sweeney, Luke Sweeney, and Thom Whiddett, who are passionate watch collectors.

Four highlights from the upcoming Phillips London Well Suited 2019 auction

The highlight of Well Suited is the sale of the Philippe Dufour Simplicity (pictured above), which comes in a 37 mm diameter rose gold case with a white lacquered dial. These truly handmade watches rarely come up for sale so hardcore collectors will surely be eyeing this as a potential chance to acquire something few will ever own.

A selection of Thom Sweeney bespoke tailoring has been handmade specifically for the exhibition, which will also include a working cutting room, where bespoke tailors will be cutting patterns and garments for the duration of the show.

Exhibition: 15 –21 March 2019

Location: Phillips, 30 Berkeley Square, London W1J 6EX Opening

Times: Mon-Sat 10 am-6 pm BST, Sun 12 pm-6 pm BST
