Independent Swiss watchmaker, MCT, is celebrating their tenth anniversary this year and has created a special timepiece featuring a cushion-shaped case measuring 43 mm in length (not including the lugs), which is similar to the Sequential One and Frequential One, except this new model is slightly smaller, and not perfectly square.

The Dōdekal One, or D110, features a digital hours display – in the center of the dial – powered by a mechanical, not electronic movement, of course. However, interestingly, the design was inspired by electronic watches from the 1970s.

The Dōdekal One is powered by the all-new caliber D1 manufacture movement, which utilizes an intricate set of cams and carriages to display the hours in the dial center. The transition is effected by the translational motion of segments over 2.5 seconds, offering an original and magical sight, while the minutes are displayed by a flying hand.

A gold micro-rotor winds the mainspring, which is good for 50-hours of power reserve.

Available in titanium or titanium and 5N pink gold, the Dōdekal One – D110 is issued in a 25-piece limited series for each version.
