Last Thursday, at the Ralph Lauren flagship store located at 888 Madison Avenue, Ralph Lauren himself hosted a champagne reception to highlight the new RL67 Safari timepiece collection. He stated “The romance of safari is a dream that I have returned to many times. It is an adventure, a world of refinement set against a rugged and powerful landscape.”

Ralph Lauren timepieces were first launched in Geneva at SIHH 2009 and are the result of a close partnership with the Richemont Group. Unlike most fashion brands who sell watches under their own name, RL watches have a distinctly high quality, thanks in part to assistance from the Richemont Group who supplies the movements for the majority of the collection. These are true high-grade Swiss watches.

“To add to the evening’s excitement, Mr. Lauren had his vintage Series 1 Land Rover from 1950 parked outside the boutique along with a matte black Land Rover Defender owned by his brother, Jerry Lauren. Additionally, models dressed in safari-attire greeted guests. Throughout the evening, watch enthusiasts and clients enjoyed champagne and hors d’oeuvres, mingled outside on the terrace and took advantage of the intimate showroom setting to admire the new timepieces.”
