During a recent visit to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s flagship LA boutique – located on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills – I was able to view the Limited Edition Reverso Squadra Polo Fields World Chronograph.

This sporty Reverso Squadra has a carbon fiber accented dial, and the case middle itself features a high-tech all-ceramic design, with a titanium carrier to house the rotatable (reversible) ceramic case, and is connected to an articulated rubber strap.

Timekeeping functions are powered by the Jaeger-LeCoultre manufacture caliber 753  movement, which is composed of 366 parts and has 39 jewels. On the front is a traditional dial featuring chronograph, date, day/night indicator and power reserve indicator. The reverse side of the watch displays a transparent rotating world time indicator, which is marked with key cities representing timezones around the globe. Five cities common to world time watches have been replaced with popular “Polo Fields” – Soto Grande, London-Ham, Palermo, Dubai, and Palm Beach.

This Reverso Squadra Polo Fields is exclusive and the high-tech case is very robust, which is actually useful if you wear it to play Polo. Water-resistance is 50 meters. Expect to pay a premium for the ceramic case and its exclusivity. The Squadra case design is larger than the traditional Reverso collection and the overall look and feel are much more sporty. The masculine design of the Squadra is definitely my preference, over the original Reverso as far as aesthetics and wearability. Retail is $28,000.
