Combining the dual-time functionality of the Duoface with the classical Tribute collection, this December Jaeger-LeCoultre added another elegant limited edition Reverso dress watch.

Introducing the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano — presented in a 47 mm x 28.3 mm x 10.3 mm 18K pink gold reversible case — with a rich burgundy-red lacquer dial on the front and a guilloche-work second-time zone face on the back.

First offered in 1994, the Reverso Duoface offers two dials (instead of a dial and traditional caseback), each with a different time zone, driven by Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 854A/2. The second time zone is adjusted by a small slider on the top of the caseband — visible only when the case is released from the reversible carriage in the process of flipping it over. In addition to viewing a second-time zone upon reversing the watch, a deeply etched sunray pattern on the inner surface of the carriage adds to the visual enjoyment of turning the watch over.

On the main dial, the rectangular burgundy-red lacquer dial is punctuated by applied, faceted pencil-shaped pink gold indices, with double markers at 12 and a truncated index at 6. A white railroad-style printed minute track surrounds the dial along with a white printed chapter ring around the small seconds subdial at 6. The Jaeger-LeCoultre branding is stamped in white at 12 o’clock, with a pink gold applied emblem just above the brand name.

The secondary dial, which’s accessible by sliding out the reversible case and flipping it over, is distinguished by the silvered gray Clous de Paris guilloche pattern that surrounds the circular opaline finished hours and minutes dial, and that uses the same pink gold faceted applied indices as the primary burgundy dial, except they’re smaller, and surrounded by a circular railroad track minute ring printed in black. Just below the hours and minutes is a 24-hour day/night indicator.

Both dials use pink gold dauphine-shaped hour and minute hands and the burgundy has a baton-shaped pink gold hand for the small seconds displays while the day/night indicator on the opposite side has a dauphine-shaped 24-hour hand.

Handcrafted by Casa Fagliano — the world-famous Argentinian maker of polo boots — the burgundy colored cordovan leather and canvas strap has been cut and stitched by hand, just like the boots.

The manually wound caliber 854A/2 movement beats at 3Hz and has a 42-hour power reserve. The water resistance is rated to 30 meters. The Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano is a boutique-only, limited edition of 190 pieces. (Ref. Q398256J) Retail is $23,900.
