This video explains how Rolex creates the ceramic bezels on their GMT and Submariner timepieces. It takes 40 hours per bezel (most processes are automated, but it is still an impressive fact). The resulting ceramic bezels are very hard and nearly impossible to scratch, which is great compared to the aluminum bezels they have used for years (which work well but do show scratches).
