Four-Time Golf Major winner, Olympian, and Omega ambassador, Rory Mcllroy, has been wearing a Seamaster Aqua Terra “Ultra Light” on the course at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.

The Seamaster Aqua Terra “Ultra Light” that was first unveiled in 2019 is really the perfect watch for wearing during competition because it features a lightweight titanium case (made using a special alloy called Gamma Titanium). Additionally, the timepiece has a telescopic crown that retracts into the caseband and eliminates any potential digging of the crown into your wrist, which maximizes comfort and ergonomics and is really unlike the majority of watches on the market in this regard.

Driving the time display is Omega’s Co-Axial caliber 8928 Ti, the company’s first watch movement made in titanium, which ensures lightweight without sacrificing accuracy, durability, or robustness.

For Mcllroy’s personal watch he chose a specially designed velcro NATO-style strap for his daughter’s name and birthday, along with the Olympic rings (which you can see if you look closely at the image above).
