For the 27th annual Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, otherwise known as SIHH 2017, there will be a total of 30 exhibitors. This is the most exhibitors the show has ever had.

Last year, the SIHH show added the Carré des Horlogers, which consisted of nine high-end independent watchmakers – Hautlence, HYT, Kari Voutilainen, Laurent Ferrier, MB&F, Christophe Claret, Urwerk, De Bethune and H. Moser & Cie.

This year, five more independent watchmakers were added – Romain Jerome, MCT, Speake-Marin, Gronefeld, and Ressence. And notably, De Bethune has decided not to show at SIHH 2017. The increase in the number of independent exhibitors is a good sign and surely helps the show by providing that many more products to see, which is especially important for the final day of the show when the general public will be able to attend.

Finally, in addition to the additional independent watchmakers, Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin, who are both owned by the Kering luxury group, will be exhibiting at SIHH. This marks Girard-Perregaux’s return after leaving SIHH and showing at Baselworld from 2013-2016, in an effort to gain more visibility. As for Ulysse Nardin, a longtime anchor at Baselworld, this will be their first time exhibiting at SIHH.

SIHH 2017 takes place in Geneva, from January 16th to the 20th. Stay tuned for updates as the show gets underway next Monday, here.
