Inspired by the original 1965 Heuer 3147N Dato 45 — Hodinkee and TAG Heuer have collaborated on a modern remake of the collectible chronograph.

The TAG Heuer Carrera “Dato 45” Hodinkee Limited Edition is presented in a 39 mm stainless steel Carrera case and is powered by the caliber 02 in-house chronograph with 80-hours of power reserve.

A basic black dial with applied indices displays hours, minutes, chronograph seconds, chronograph minutes (30-minute) via the single white azurage stamped subdial at 3 o’clock, and the date via a framed aperture at 9 o’clock — give the Dato 45 its unique asymmetrical aesthetic.

A domed sapphire protects the front of the watch, while a flat screw-in sapphire crystal caseback offers a view of the movement. The caseback is inscribed with “HODINKEE LIMITED EDITION.” Water-resistance is 100 meters.

Limited to 250 pieces, the TAG Heuer Carrera “Dato 45” Hodinkee Limited Edition (Ref. CBK221D.FC6479) is available at the Hodinkee Shop (125) and a TAG Heuer points of sale in the US and Japan (125).
