Tissot just released this preview of a new special edition of the Tissot Couturier GMT Michael Owen. Its design integrates black, white and red, the home and away colours of Michael Owen’s soccer team (the Manchester United Football Club) and will be made in a quantity of 4,999 pieces worldwide. It also features Michael Owens lucky number seven, framing his signature on the case back.

Aesthetically, this version of the Tissot Couturier GMT is different from the original Couturier GMT collection, however, the dimensions and quartz movement are the same as on previous versions. That’s not a bad thing, though. This means you not only get a second time zone display, but also a chronograph.

And on top of that, the second time zone display is set by pushers, as opposed to a crown, which means all you have to do is tap the either of the pushers to move the second time zone hour hand forward or backward. Controlling the second time zone with pushers makes it much easier to change time zones on the fly, a definite convenience for a frequent international traveler.
