Dutch company, TomTom, a leader in navigation and mapping products, recently announced a new golf watch designed to help you improve your game. The TomTom Golfer GPS is a smartwatch/wearable that can count strokes, track the elapsed time of your round and show calories burned. And most importantly – using GPS technology – it can calculate precise yardages to the front, center and back of the green, as well distances to individual hazards along the fairway. Over 34,000 courses are preloaded, including unique green and hazard graphics.

The watch case is rectangle shaped and can last up to 10-hours per charge in GPS mode. It has a 144 x 168 display, weighs 53 grams and is 11.5 mm thick. The water-resistance rating is 50 meters.

It comes with a black or white perforated synthetic strap. The retail price is $249, and it will be available for sale October 2014.
