Zodiac upgraded its Super Sea Wolf with a larger more robust case that offers 100 meters in additional water resistance for a total of 300 meters.

The Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver comes in a 42 mm stainless steel case and features a ceramic bezel insert, which is more resistant to scratches than the mineral crystal bezel inserts found on the existing Super Sea Wolf line.

There’s no date window cluttering the dial, and the hands and indices, as well as the unidirectional rotating dive bezel, have a generous amount of luminescent paint which enhances legibility greatly. This professional ISO 6425 compliant dive watch is powered by a COSC-certified chronometer level Sellita SW200-1 automatic Swiss movement and has a power reserve of 38-hours.

Being a dive watch the crown and caseback screw-down to the case, although it’s unclear if the crystal protecting the dial is made from a sapphire or mineral crystal.

There are five color variations available, all with a 7-link stainless steel bracelet, for $1,695. Zodiac officially sells optional rubber straps made for the Pro-Diver for $95.

The problem with the past Zodiac Super Sea Wolf collections is that the focus has been heavily on the aesthetics — so they look good — but when you held or wore the watch you could feel that it was not very robust. These Pro-Diver versions should solve that problem for the consumers that presumably want something more reliable for recreational water activities such as diving.
