BR 126 Sport Heritage GMT & Flyback
October 13, 2014
Bell & Ross recently launched a vintage inspired GMT & Flyback chronograph. Uniquely, the BR 126 Sport Heritage GMT & Flyback offers a central minute counter and push button setting of the GMT function.
The BR126 is presented in a 43 mm diameter polished steel case with a fixed steel bezel, featuring a black aluminum insert with printed tachymeter scale.
The matt black dial features gold colored hour markers, minute track and hands. A register at 9 o’clock displays the 2nd timezone, in 24-hour time (GMT), and is controlled by a partially recessed dedicated pusher at 10 ‘clock. A very convenient way to change the 2nd time zone.
At 3 o’clock is the running small seconds display. Both the subsidiary dial have a circular guilloche patten and gold ring, helping to visually set them apart from the main dial.
Centrally mounted are the hour and minute hands, which are baton shaped with luminescent treatment. The long gold hand counts the chronograph seconds, and can be reset to zero instantly while the chrono is running, thanks to the flyback mechanism. Something you don’t see often, is that the chronograph minutes (60-minutes), are counted using the airplane tipped hand, instead of a subsidiary dial. The chronograph is controlled using the standard pump pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock.
The flat vintage style steel crown sets the hours, minutes and date.
The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal. The caseback screws-in and water resistance is 100 meters. The BR 126 is paired with a light brown calkfsin strap with a polished steel folding buckle that matches the case. (Ref. BRV126-FLY-GMT/SCA)
