Fox Sports’ lead NFL Commentator, Tom Brady, wore a quarter-million dollar plus timepiece while calling the 2025-2026 NFC Championship game.

Presented in a 40.8 mm x 8.1 mm 18K white gold Aquanaut case, with contrasting polished and satin-finishes. This particular reference of the Aquanaut Luce is set with diamonds and blue sapphires on the dial, bezel and case.
Specifically, the dial center is baguette-set with 20 baguette-cut sapphires (1.13 carats) and 20 baguette-cut diamonds (1.12 carats). surrounded by 12 baguette-cut sapphires hour markers (0.56 carats) and hour ring snow pavéd with 160 brilliant-cut diamonds (0.71 carats). Surrounding the dial is a whit gold bezel set with 40 baguette-cut sapphires (3.6 carats), with a light to dark blue gradient, and finally, the lugs are set with 8 baguette-cut diamonds (0.58 carats).
Notably, the checkerboard setting on the dial recalls the emblematic pattern of the Aquanaut collection. Indicating the time are white gold baton-style hour and minute hands with white luminescent coating, and a blue varnished sweep seconds hand.
This is a time-only hours, minutes, and center seconds model, with stop seconds, is powered by Patek Philippe’s in-house automatic caliber 26-330 S, beats at 4Hz, measures 27.7 mm x 3.32 mm, has 29 jewels, 181 total components, and a power reserve of 45 hours. Patek’s proprietary Gyromax® (balance wheel) and Spiromax®) (balance spring) allow for precise watchmaker regulation. The movement is visible through a clear caseback, where you can see the 21K gold central rotor that features circular striping. Manually applied perlage, Geneve stripes, and beveled/polished edges adorn the simple, traditional high horology Swiss movement.
An integrated dark blue composite strap with the Aquanaut pattern and white gold patented fold-over clasp set with 10 baguette-cut diamonds (0.33 carats) complete the look.
Final Thoughts
The Aquanaut Luce watch is an epic timepiece that blends high horology and high jewelery, and perhaps a bit over-the-top — yet it’s a Patek Philippe and executed about as tastefully as possible considering it’s completely set with diamonds and sapphires. Pairing a well-fitted traditional suit with a slightly ostentatious Patek, for one of the final, and most widely viewed NFL games of the year, is a perfect way to wear one of man’s only widely accepted pieces of a jewelry: a timepiece, which in this case is also jewelry. The Los Angeles Rams versus Seattle Seahawks game was a classic, high scoring barn burner, not decided till very end, perhaps adding additional provenance to Brady’s already highly coveted application-only, investment grade timepiece.
Brady wore the Jacob & Co. Caviar Tourbillon to last year to Super Bowl LIX, and with all due respect, that’s a nice watch, but not the same as a Patek Philippe. Brady won’t be calling Super Bowl LX from the booth, however, he stated he’ll be in attendance, so it’ll be interesting to see what’s on his wrist.
