On the occasion of Citizen’s 50th anniversary of its marquee light-powered Eco-Drive quartz timekeeping technology, the Japanese company has announced a special limited edition timepiece to mark the milestone.

Dubbed the Eco-Drive Photon, this next generation watch is powered by the caliber E036, which boasts an advanced circuit system that despite being thinner than previous Eco-Drive movements, can drive a heavier hand set.
