This month an official Rolex hardcover book was announced, that pays homage to one of the Swiss watchmaker’s most popular timepieces.

The popular design publication Wallpaper* partnered with Rolex to create a book about the venerable Submariner dive watch.

Written by author Nicholas Foulkes (a historian, editor, and journalist) Oyster Perpetual Submariner – The Watch that Unlocked the Deep is the first-ever official Rolex book and is the beginning of an ongoing series.

Presented in a luxurious silk-bound hardback book, with 256 full-color pages (weighing 4.4lbs), the official first-edition Submariner book, “Oyster Perpetual Submariner – The Watch that Unlocked the Deep” is being produced in limited edition and is available for pre-order at a retail price of approximately $178.

The book is also available in a regular non-limited edition, non-silk-bound hardback version on Amazon for $112.

Retail is £135, or approximately $178.
