The latest iteration, the Atmos Infinite Halo, offers a stunning visual transformation of the original concept.
Invented in 1928 by Jean-Léon Reutter, the original Atmos used a gas-filled capsule to respond to even slight changes in air temperature, using the changes in volume to wind the clock’s drive spring.
Featuring a “heavenly white” lacquer dial, achieving its pure shade necessitates up to 10 meticulous coats. The Atmos Infinite Halo dial’s surface, adorned with discreet indentations to reflect its baton-shaped indexes, enhances its elegance. Moreover, the perpetual caliber 570 clock movement is fully visible, thanks to the clock’s floating openworked design, further elevating its unique aesthetic.
This limited edition, with only 100 examples produced, underscores Jaeger-LeCoultre’s commitment to exclusivity and craftsmanship. The Atmos Infinite Halo is not just a clock — it’s a piece of art, a conversation starter, and a celebration of horological history.
