Shot during a visit to Watches of Switzerland SoHo, this is the Girard-Perregaux Absolute Light.
The Absolute Light measures 44 mm in diameter by 11.7 mm, and 55.3 mm lug-to-lug and features a sapphire crystal case, with grade 5 (alloyed) titanium where metal is needed. Inside the case is a nicely skeletonized dial and an automatic time-only movement. There’s no tourbillon, but you can see the free-sprung balance wheel as it oscillates to and fro at 12 o’clock.
The edges of the movement components appear to be nicely hand beveled and polished, including the interior angles, which you should expect for such an expensive timepiece; however, having a price upwards of six figures no longer guarantees anglage in this era.
The Absolute Light was produced in 2020 as an 88-piece limited edition for a retail price of $88,900.
