Ahead of the Las Vegas F1 Night Race on Saturday, Franck Muller unveiled a limited edition Crazy Hours timepiece.

The Vanguard Crazy Hours Vegas Racing is presented in Franck Muller’s signature 44 mm x 53.7 mm curved tonneau-shaped case, made of 150 layers of lightweight Aerospace-grade compressed carbon, with high-strength Ergal aluminum alloy inserts.

Underneath the curved sapphire crystal is a skeletonized dial with vividly colored hour numerals, accented with Vegas-inspired card motifs in the center ring. The time-only watch displays minutes in a typical way with the minute hand circling the dial in a clockwise motion and pointing to the chapter ring.

Uniquely, the hour markers are configured in a non-sequential “crazy” order, and this is where Franck Muller has cleverly engineered the hand to jump to the correct sequential hour marker, despite being displayed out of order — creating something fun to watch on the dial right before each turn of the hour.

Powering the hours and minutes is an outsourced automatic movement with 42 hours of power reserve that has been customized, finished, assembled, and adjusted in-house — with Franck Muller’s in-house “Crazy Hours” module added on top.

A curved sapphire crystal that matches the ergonomics of the case offers a view of the mechanics and is adorned with playing card motifs as an homage to the location of the 2024 Las Vegas F1 Night Race.

The Vanguard Crazy Hours Vegas Racing (Ref. V45 CH SQT RCG VEGAS CBER) is water resistant to 30 meters and is limited to 77 individually numbered pieces.

Retail is $37,500.
