At the age of 80, famous watch designer Gérald Génta has passed away. Génta is one of the most accomplished watch designers of the modern era, responsible for some of the most watch recognizable designs in watchmaking today. Most notably, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Vacheron Constantin 222 (predecessor of Overseas), Patek Philippe Nautilus and IWC Ingenieur.

Our prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP.
