In celebration of the Omega Speedmaster becoming flight-qualified by NASA in 1965, they will release this thematic MoonSwatch on March 1st.

The MoonSwatch 1965 features the famous Omega Speedmaster design, in an affordable bioceramic case, and with a quartz movement.

This first MoonSwatch of 2025 comes with a sporty white and black dial, a black bezel, and a gray case (this case is the closest color they offer to stainless steel).

As a nod to the 60th Anniversary of becoming flight-qualified by NASA, Swatch has placed a “19, 25, and 60” at the top of the three counters, which messes up readability a little, but in this case, that’s how they decided to integrate them best. The 19, 65, and 60 also glow, whereas normally they would not glow at all. The lume emits a blue glow, which contrasts slightly with the green glow of the hands and indices.

Unfortunately, Swatch is still shipping the MoonSwatches with an underwhelming non-tapered nylon and velcro strap, however, they introduced a new line of tapered rubber and velcro straps in January, which are worth a look and retail for $45.

We also highly recommend the Perpetual integrated rubber straps (preferably in FKM rubber) that we featured in this review of the MoonSwatch, as well as the Avel & Men premium textile straps that we featured in this review of the Moonwatch.

The MoonSwatch 1965 (Ref. SO33M106) will be available at select Swatch stores for a retail price of $270 beginning March 1st.
