a scale that’s displayed on a chronograph wristwatch’s bezel (similar to a tachymeter), which is calibrated in either 15 or 30 pulsations. To use you simply activate the chronograph from zero and count either 15 or 30 heartbeats, then stop the chronograph, and where the chronograph seconds hand points on the pulsometer scale is your current heart rate.
