Raketa Watch Factory, in collaboration with the Sukhoi Design Bureau, has created a limited edition, professional pilots watch, with a sophisticated darkened appearance, that doesn’t sacrifice legibility.

Inspired by the Su-57, a cutting-edge 5th-generation fighter jet, the Raketa Su Limited Edition timepiece features a sleek stainless steel cases that measures 42 mm x 13.65 mm, and 49.13 mm lug-to-lug, that’s been coated with a stealthy matte black PVD treatment (only the vertical edge of the bezel is polished), similar in appearance to the special coating that renders the jet nearly invisible to radar.

A silhouette of the jet is embossed on the matte black dial of the Raketa Su timepiece at 6 o’clock. High contrast white and black hands, with large printed luminous numerous, and a printed luminous chapter ring, provide enhanced legibility, in all lighting conditions. Raketa’s logo is printed in white at 12 o’clock.

A cambered anti-glare sapphire crystal, surrounded by a fixed, sloped steel bezel protects the dial side. On the back is a screw-in steel caseback with a flat sapphire crystal insert, that provides a view of the automatic mechanical movement. The crown screws-down to the case, and has a unique cut-out, it the shape of Raketa’s emblem, with a red synthetic ruby positioned behind it.

Manufactured from A to Z at the Raketa Watch Factory in St. Petersburg, the 24-jewel, automatic caliber 2615 movement beats at 2.5Hz, with bi-directional winding, and a 40-hour power reserve. The bridges and mainplate has an industrial sandblasted finish, and the rotor has a printed digital motif that pays homage to it’s aviation inspiration. Each movement is tested and 4 positions and leaves the factory regulated to a rate of -10/+20 seconds per days, or better.

A gray silicone strap, with a pin buckle that has Raketa’s emblem cut out, and with quick release spring bars, offers excellent ergonomics. An additional black grained leather strap, with a two-stitch lime green contrasting thread, and a pin buckle is included at no additional charge.

The complete limited edition Raketa Su set includes an extra genuine leather strap, and a 1:100 scale metal model of the Sukhoi Su-57 fighter. The lug width is 20 mm. Water-resistance is rated to a depth of 200 meters.

The Raketa Su is a limited edition timepiece, with 800 pieces being produced and a retail price of 2900 EUR (approx. $3,375), and includes free worldwide delivery by DHL.
