Seiko makes a pretty cool wall clock styled like its classic Speedtimer wristwatch dial.
The Shelby II “Speedtimer” Wall Clock comes in black metallic dial or white and black metallic dial versions and is based on the aesthetics of the wristwatches — which come in quartz, solar quartz, and mechanical variations — though the clock is driven by battery-powered quartz movement.
Instead of the Speedtimer’s typical wristwatch chronograph functions, the clock subdials display the temperature, humidity, and seconds. The latter is a non-ticking seconds indicator, meaning it will be silent, which benefits those who do not want to hear a loud ticking sound.
Measuring 13″ (330.2 mm) by 2″ (50.8 mm) the clock is encased in a brushed aluminum housing with a plastic back. It takes two AA batteries. A plastic glass front protects the dial. Interestingly, the hands and hour markers have been painted with lume so you can see the clock even in the dark, which is a useful feature.
Retail is currently $149 for the white panda dial and $134 for the black, on Amazon.
