Japanese retailer TiCTAC originally collaborated with Seiko to create exclusive versions of the SZSB006 in 2019.
Seiko collaborated with TiCTAC again, to offer two new dial variants, one is gray and the other is a blue-green. The SZSB006 is presented in a 40 mm x 11 mm, 48 mm lug-to-lug, 20 mm lug width, 100-meter water-resistant stainless steel case. The Seiko x TiCTAC SZSB036 is conservatively sized, for those that know a watch being bigger is not necessarily better.
Available in gray or blue-green, with a sunburst dial finish and a cathedral handset, the watch has Rolex Explorer vibes. A stamped stainless steel bracelet is not going to rival anything from premium watchmakers, but again, the aesthetic pleasingly resembles icons, which is how Seiko rolls. Similar to Casio, which gave us this stylish Bamford co-brand last year, Seiko tends to bring some heat with its low-price collaborations
Inside, visible through a clear caseback, the SZSB036 is powered by Seiko’s industrial 23-jewel automatic caliber 4R35 movement, which has a 41-hour power reserve, stop seconds, and manually winding, powers the hours, minutes, center seconds, and date functions. The movement is adjusted to a precision of -35/+45 second per day, which is not great, and the Hardlex crystal is not as nice as a sapphire, but at a retail price of $347, it’s a pretty strong look.
