in 1954 the Type 20 chronographs were commissioned for the French Air Force, including the Aéronautique Navale (Aéronavale). They are referred to interchangeably as Type 20s or Type XX. Similar to the Dirty Dozen watches made for the British military or the B-Uhr made for the German military.
