Created by Crouse-Hinds, an American electrical company that previously specialized in traffic signals and is now a subsidiary of Cooper Industries, in 1950, this is an Industrial Explosion Proof Clock. It features a screw-on face cover, a sweeping second hand, and still keeps good time.
It is in good condition and has a nice patina and wear to all surfaces, as you would expect from a clock of this vintage. The dimensions are 18 by 6.5 inches. And it’s a whopping 40lbs. When these clocks were in production, they were originally used in factories and mines. Not sure why you would need an explosion-proof clock — but we definitely want one.
