Bill Clinton wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre on Daily Show last night

Former president, Bill Clinton, was wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Diving Alarm (not sure which reference) on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night. Clinton made a guest appearance on the show to promote his new book "Back to Work," and wore the Jaeger outside of his shirt cuff, which made it clear what he was wearing. Clinton has been known as a watch fan ever since leaving office. He famously wore a Timex while in office, but after leaving he has been seen wearing a number of high-end timepieces.

In anticipation of the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event Championship, Christophe Claret has partnered with one of the final nine poker players, Badih "Bob" Bounahra. 6,865 players started Day 1 of the WSOP Main Event 2011 and they all played eight long days until only nine players remained - The November Nine.

Omega brand ambassador Sergio Garcia won in dominating fashion at the Castelló Masters golf tournament on the Club de Campo del Mediterráneo course where he was club champion at 12.

Garcia scored 66, 63, 64 and 63 for an impressive 27 strokes under par. His performance resulted in a 72-hole score of 257 strokes, the lowest in European Golf Tour history.

Rolex signs Tiger Woods

Today Rolex announced a partnership with Tiger Woods. "In keeping with its passion for excellence and its long-standing commitment to the world of golf, Rolex is proud to announce its partnership with American golfer Tiger Woods."

Tiger Woods joins fellow golfer Phil Mickelson as a Rolex ambassador. As of today, Mickelson is the #10 ranked professional golfer in the world, with Woods coming in #51. Not to worry though as, "Rolex is convinced that Tiger Woods still has a long career ahead of him and that he has all the qualities required to continue to mark the history of golf."

Scottish actor, Gerald Butler, is the new ambassador for Geneva-based modern haute horology manufacture Roger Dubuis. He originally became a fan of the brand after seeing one in the window of a watch store. He then sought to discover more about the brand and eventually ended up touring the manufacture with CEO George Kern. Gerald Butler says, "watchmaking is just like the cinema, it hides a precise mechanism which must then generate emotion."

AP announces new tennis ambassador Novak Djokovic

Today, in conjunction with the opening day of the US Open tennis tournament, Audemars Piguet has announced their newest professional sports ambassador, the world's current number one tennis player - Novak Djokovic.

The most notable recent partnership between a watch company and professional tennis player, is the 2010 deal between Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille and the world's current #2 professional tennis player Rafael Nadal. The result of the relationship between Mille and Nadal has been widely publicized, mostly because Nadal wears a specially designed Richard Mille timepiece during all of his matches; and because Nadal is consistently ranked among the best tennis players in the world.
