Hodinkee debuted its second watch collaboration with Hermès this week — and like most or all of their limited editions, it sold out in a day.

The Hermès x Hodinkee H08 Limited Edition is presented in a 39 mm x 10.6 mm DLC-coated lightweight titanium case, with a ceramic bezel and a taupe-colored dial. Like the textured dial, the rubber strap has been given a coarse surface texture, both of which provide contrast to the tone-on-tone look.

Underneath the dial, driving the hours, minutes, center seconds, and date is Hermès’ Swiss-made in-house automatic caliber H1837 (made in collaboration with Vaucher). The movement mainspring holds a maximum power reserve of 50-hours. The bridges, mainplate, and rotor are adorned with a repeating “H” Hermès motif.

The taupe rubber strap is 20 mm at the case and features a folding clasp in DLC-coated titanium.  The depth rating is 100 meters.

An arrow-tipped center seconds hand features an open counterweight and lume in the company’s signature orange shade on the arrow tip. The applied Arabic numerals have been given the taupe treatment. On the inner ring, a minutes/seconds scale has been printed in black. A taupe, color-matched, date wheel, lies subtly in between 4 and 5 and is presumably a compromise that keeps the date minimal as opposed to removing it completely, as is often done with Hodinkee collaborations.

Only 100 numbered examples of the Hermès x Hodinkee H08 Limited Edition will be produced, each priced at $7,275 and available exclusively in the Hodinkee Shop.
