With its unmistakable square case (45 mm), and special military colorway which Bell & Ross says is inspired by stealth fighter planes, this new 250-piece limited edition BR-X1 Military skeleton watch is sure to appeal to the company’s hardcore fans.

Although, even with the technologically sophisticated High Resistance Titanium (HRT), as well as DLC and PVD coatings, ceramic,  and a skeletonized design – the price will be hard to justify. Having said that, the special titanium, which is said to be even more hard-wearing than standard titanium and its signature khaki color hue is quite cool.

The dial is made from a tinted sapphire crystal and features applied indices filled with the latest C3 Superluminova. A unique skeletonized date window, viewable around the entire dial with an aperture at 6 o’clock, a blade-style 30-minute chronograph counter at 9 o’clock, and a luminous crosshair-style running seconds counter at 3 o’clock all add to the instrument feel of the dial. Large centrally-mounted skeletonized hands provide good legibility despite the amount of info being displayed.

An outsourced automatic 56 jewel chronograph movement beats at 4Hz and features an X-shaped upper bridge with a DLC coating. Rocker-style pushers and a unique perforated tapered rubber strap that has a black PVD pin buckle, as well as four black PVD contrasting screws on the bezel, complete the look. Water-resistance is 100 meters.

Retail is $23,000.
