Unveiled at Baselworld in 2012, the Zenith Doublematic Pilot features a chronograph (like the majority of El Primero timepieces), as well as a 24-city worldtimer, and a mechanical alarm.

The Doublematic Pilot (Ref. 03.2400.4046/21.C721) was delivered in a 45 mm diameter stainless steel case, powered by an El Primero 5Hz caliber 4046 movement with chronograph (controlled by pushers on right case flank), world time (controlled by crowns on the left case flank), date, and alarm functions.

As the Doublematic name suggests, the Zenith in-house automatic movement uses two mainspring barrels: one dedicated to the hours, minutes, world time, date, and chronograph functions, and the other is reserved solely for the mechanical alarm (with a dedicated alarm power reserve indicator). When fully wound, the watch can run autonomously for 50 hours.

The bezel features a day/night indicator as well as a list of 24 cities for adjusting to the correct time zone. A special power reserve subdial at 7 o’clock indicates the remaining power in the alarm’s mainspring; it also displays whether the alarm is set to “on or off.
