Armin Strom’s latest high-end offering combines the company’s patented resonance technology with dual-time displays.

The Dual Time GMT Resonance is presented in a luxurious 39 mm x 9.05 mm 18K white gold case that has more heft than stainless steel, and more of a sheen. Twin sky-blue grenage dials with black azurage chapter rings, applied polished baton indices, rhodium-plated day/night discs, and rhodium-plated faceted and polished Lance-shaped hands.

In addition to Armin Strom’s resonance technology, what makes the Dual Time GMT Resonance watch special is the two independent time displays each indicating hour, minutes, and day/night. A crown on the left is used for setting the dial on the left. The right crown is dedicated to setting the time of the right dial and winding. Notably, the designers chose to print Armin Stron’s emblem in black on the left dial and the logo on the right dial.

Armin Strom’s 3.5Hz manually wound manufacture caliber ARF22 has an anthracite PVD-colored mainplate, which is visible on both the movement and dial side and provides excellent contrast against the bright rhodium-treated components such as the Geneva striped bridges, polished screws, and the gear train.

Two independent regulating systems connected by a resonance clutch spring provide chronometrically superior timekeeping to both displays and can run for 42-hours when fully wound. The 34.15 mm × 4.92 mm movement is made up of 231 components, including 40 jewels (some with polished sinks), and utilize a variety of hand and machine-made decoration techniques (described in detail in the two above diagrams).

This is not Armin Strom’s first Dual Time, but it’s the most wearable version, and though the price is over six figures, it’s more accessibly-priced than the company’s first Dual Time watch, which was introduced in 2019.
