The G-D001 represents a fusion of state-of-the-art technology and environmental consciousness, reflecting G-Shock’s ethos of pushing boundaries while fostering a positive impact.

A portion of the proceeds will be directed towards supporting The Nature Conservancy’s initiatives. The hammer price of $315,000 will go directly to The Nature Conservancy, while an additional $85,050 in buyer’s premium will be allocated to Philips Auction House. Notably, due to the nature of this charitable donation, there will be no tax implications, further underscoring G-Shock’s commitment to leveraging its influence for positive environmental impact.

This historic auction not only signified a momentous milestone in G-Shock’s legacy but also captured the unwavering attention of impassioned collectors and enthusiasts on a global scale.

Designed to highlight the 40th anniversary of premium innovation, design, and durability, The Dream Project #2, G-D001 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, the initial 2018 Dream Project, which celebrated the G-SHOCK 35th anniversary. Created with a computer-aided design technique that uses AI to optimize the design process, the G-D001 included an eighteen-karat yellow gold case, bezel, and band.

Anticipated to be available within the pricing spectrum of $70,000 to $140,000, the timepiece was poised to set a benchmark as one of the most distinguished and high-value G-Shock watches ever to be offered for sale. The winning bidder of the G-D001 has not only acquired a one-of-a-kind G-Shock timepiece but will also become part of the brand’s storied legacy. The auction of the Dream Project #2 concludes the year-long celebration of G-Shock’s 40th anniversary.
