Casio has announced two new versions of its popular Full Metal 2100 and 5000 collections.

The GMWB5000D-2 features Casio’s iconic square-shaped case and the GMB2100AD-2A comes in the octagonal-shaped CasiOak case.

The same Bluetooth and solar-equipped quartz movements as seen in existing versions of the same models — power the time, daily alarms, a stopwatch, world time, countdown timer, and more.

Clad with premium full metal cases that are highly shock resistant and 200-meter depth rated — these are as rugged as they are good-looking. Solid stainless-steel bracelets incorporate a three-pronged structure at the connective part, effectively dispersing shocks to the connecting pipes. Dimpling is applied to each of the metal band links, to evoke the design of the original G-Shock resin bands. The case back uses a screw-lock construction with diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating, ensuring a secure seal and durable polished look.

What’s new with this updated collection are vibrant blue metallic dials — achieved through vapor deposition — contrasted by the silver of the stainless steel case (and silver accents on the hands and indices of the 2100 model).

Every detail, from the forged bezel to the methodically crafted case, reflects G-Shock’s dedication to refinement. The cases are manufactured via forging, cutting, and polishing. The top of the bezel receives a hairline finish, while the beveled edges boast a mirror finish resulting in an upscale aesthetic — without sacrificing durabilty.

The GMB2100AD-2A and GMWB5000D-2 are now available for $550 each at select retailers, gshock.com, and the G-Shock Soho store.
