Girard-Perregaux and Saint Laurent have created a second collaboration using the watchmaker’s quartz throwback timepiece, the Casquette 2.0.
The Girard-Perregaux x Saint Laurent Casquette 2.0 comes in the same existing 42.4 mm x 33.6 mm case design, with a GP3980 quartz movement with a digital LED display that reads out red. This 200-piece individually numbered edition is crafted in lightweight grand 5 titanium and displays hours, minutes, seconds, day, date, month, year, plus it has a chronograph, second time zone, and secret date function.
Interestingly, with each Casquette that Girard Perregaux makes, the retail price climbs significantly — yet the watch stays essentially the same. In 2022, the retail price for Casquette 2.0 Limited Edition in ceramic was $4,700. Now, they’re asking $7,500 in titanium, and the watch will be available exclusively at Saint Laurent Rive Droite in Los Angeles, Saint Laurent Babylone in Paris, and YSL.com.
