Timex recently reissued its legendary Ironman sports watch.

The Ironman 8-Lap remake comes in the original 39 mm diameter case — available in plastic like the old models and new upscale metal versions. There are five plastic and three metal Ironman references, including the iconic black/white/gray/orange version, which I still recall owning three decades ago. It was my first watch. I still have the original printed instructions.

The new metal Ironman represents an interesting upgrade and should be more durable, though it’s unclear how shock and drop-resistant they are. All Ironman references are 100 meters water-resistant.

The Ironman collection is available only in Japan at launch. Although we project some Ironman models will arrive on the US market in 2025, nothing official has been confirmed. Starting at $92 in plastic Ironman OG 8-Lap (Ref. TW5M54300) the price rises to $324 in metal Ironman 8-Lap Metal (Ref. TW5M66700).
