In his first year as a quarterback, 24-year-old Jayden Daniels has taken the NFL by storm.

Drafted in the first round, number two overall, second to only Caleb Williams, Daniels has had what many professional NFL analysts have said is “the best rookie quarterback season ever.”

Following a remarkable year where Daniels has broken numerous NFL and Commanders team records, and led his team to the postseason with an incredible 12-5 regular season record, not surprisingly, Daniels is the leading candidate for the AP’s Offensive Rookie of the Year (OROTY) award.

In the NFL it usually takes a few years for a rookie quarterback to develop, making Daniel’s meteoric success rare. Even coming in as a college football superstar and reigning Heisman Trophy winner (2023), there’s no guarantee of success in the National Football League. Case in point, despite being a strong year for quarterbacks, Daniels’ ten fellow 2024 rookie quarterbacks, including Caleb Williams (who was drafted above him), are all in the offseason. Daniels is the only rookie quarterback left. If he makes the Super Bowl, he’ll be the first starting rookie quarterback in NFL history to do so, and if he wins, he’ll also be the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to complete such a feat.

Daniels and the Commanders play against the tough Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at 3 pm EST, the Commanders’ first NFC Championship game in 33 years. This will be the division rivals’ third meeting this year. Each team won one and lost one. The stakes could not be higher: the winner goes to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans (February 9th, 2025), and the loser heads to Cancun.

As fellow watch lovers, what timepieces does one of the league’s top quarterbacks — who signed a fully guaranteed four-year rookie contract of $37.8 million — wear on his wrist?

So far, we can confirm three. One Cartier, and two Rolexes.

At the Hesiman ceremony in 2023, Daniels wore a classic Rolex Day-Date 40 in either 18K white gold (Ref. 228239) that retails for $50,800 – or a 950 platinum (Ref. 228236)  which retails for $68,500. His watch has a Presidential bracelet with a silver dial and factory diamond-set indices (factory-set is the optimal choice for a diamond Rolex because aftermarket diamonds don’t retain value well).

At the draft, where Daniels was selected 2nd overall, he wore a fully diamond-set Cartier Santos.

Most recently, Daniels was spotted entering the lockerroom at the divisional round of the playoffs, in Detroit, wearing a 904L stainless steel Datejust 41 (Ref. 126300) with a smooth bezel, a black dial, and an Oyster bracelet, which retails for $8,150.

Here’s to an epic NFL Championship Sunday!
