Today, Maurice Lacroix announces a limited edition diver’s watch for North America called the Pontos S Diver “Blue Devil” Limited Edition.

Featuring a 43 mm stainless steel case, 600 meter water-resistance, dual screw-down crowns (one for adjusting the internal rotating dive bezel and the other for setting the time/date), screw-down steel caseback, an automatic helium escape valve (at 9 o’clock), domed sapphire crystal with double anti-glare treatment, and excellent dial legibility (including underwater thanks to luminous hands and markers) – this is a true professional dive watch.

The blue and yellow color scheme was inspired by the colorful Southern Blue Devil fish which is the same shade of blue with bright yellow and white accents.

The dial features a blue sun-brushed finish contrasted by rhodium-plated applied hour indexes that are filled with luminous material, as well as bright yellow dots for each hour. The chapter ring has long printed white markings for minutes/seconds. Surrounding the dial is a sandblasted aluminum internal rotating dive bezel that matches the dial color, and with luminous markers including a triangle at 12.

Time is indicated by diamond-cut, rhodium-plated, luminous, hour, minute, and second hands. Further, the minute and second hand have yellow tips making it easier to track your dive time.

Automatic caliber ML115 powers hours, minutes, seconds, and the date (at 6 o’clock). The rhodium-plated movement runs at a rate of 4Hz (28,800 vph), has 26 jewels, and a power reserve of 38-hours.

Each watch comes with a black rubber strap, a blue Nato-style calfskin strap with yellow accent stitching, and a stainless steel bracelet. A water-resistant presentation case is also included.

Available starting today at all Maurice Lacroix retailers in North America, the Pontos S Diver “Blue Devil” is limited to 100 numbered pieces, and retails for $2,950.
