Today MB&F launched their second Legacy Machine. Like the Legacy Machine No. 1, the No. 2 comes in a classic round shaped case, as opposed to the brand’s Horological Machines which come in a variety of non-round cases, such as the Thunderbolt which is shaped like an airplane.

The Legacy Machine No. 2 has two fully independent escapements, with two flying balance wheels floating above the dial. A planetary differential transmits the average rates of those balance wheels to a single gear train. “To produce Episode II of the Legacy series, we have teamed up once again with two of the most talented watchmakers alive: Jean-François Mojon and his team at Chronode, and the inimitable Kari Voutilainen.”

The Legacy Machine No. 2 is available in 18k red or white gold, and a limited edition of 18 pieces in platinum 950 that features a striking sky-blue dial.
