TAG Heuer’s iconic Monaco timepiece is available in a limited edition with a British racing green color scheme.

Featuring the company’s smaller 39 mm rectangular/square-shaped Monaco case in lightweight titanium, coupled with a silver sun-brushed dial, British racing green opaline counters, a perforated British racing green racing calfskin strap, and accented by a bright yellow chronograph seconds hand and in the center of the 12 o’clock index — the Monaco Chronograph Racing Green Limited Edition is distinctive, elegant, and aesthetically appealing.

With the classic left-hand crown and right-hand pushers, the historic MONACO HEUER logo sans TAG, this 1,000-piece limited edition is sure to appeal to racing fans — especially those in the United Kingdom.

Even with the premium titanium case, a historic nod to Monacos of the past, British racing heritage, and left-hand crown, at $9,300 the Monaco Chronograph Racing Green Limited Editions’ (Ref. CAW218E.FC6565) biggest hurdle might be the price-to-value ratio, with regards to the movement. Even though the movement is a so-called modern Calibre 11 — it’s based on an outsourced (not in-house) Sellita SW300 movement (4Hz, 59 jewels, power reserve of 40 hours), which though reliable and functional, might be underwhelming to those forking over nearly ten thousand dollars.
