Arnold & Son has released a 960 platinum version of its Globetrotter timepiece, which comes in a 45 mm diameter case, with a highly domed sapphire crystal to accommodate the hand finished rhodium plated arched bridge going across the center of the dial. Underneath the bridge is a domed globe motif of the Earth’s Northern Hemisphere, which is surrounded by a 24-hour ring and traditional 12-hour indices surrounding that. The Globetrotter Platinum indicates hours and minutes via red arrow hands that point to the outer chapter ring and 24-hour world time ring, and that rotate in sync with the globe in the center. The globe is luminescent, adding to the visual appeal. Flip the case over to view the finely finished automatic movement. $35,000
Yesterday, Casio debuted its second Wu-Tang Clan collaboration watch. The 2023 G-Shock x Wu-Tang Clan Limited Edition GM6900WTC22-9 is presented in a 49.7 mm × 18.6 mm (53.9 lug-to-lug) black resin case that weighs 96 grams and is highlighted with the hip-hop group’s famous yellow-hue. Wu-Tang’s famous “W” emblem is seen on both sides of the resin strap, at the top of the dial, on the caseback, on the box, and on the outer box. The digital display is quartz-powered and features G-Shock’s well-known 6900 case design and triple subdials. In addition to all the Wu-Tang emblems, the backlight displays “WU-TANG” on the dial when you activate the on-demand light. Also, “Cash Rules Everything Around Me C.R.E.A.M.” is printed in black on the yellow flange that encircles the dial. $280
Tissot soft-launched two new PRX Powermatic 80 watches, one with a powder blue dial, reminiscent of the Tiffany-blue hue (pictured), and another in a light lime-green colorway, both with a waffle pattern. The watch comes in the existing 40 mm x 10.8 mm (44mm lug-to-lug) stainless steel case, with an integrated, tapered steel bracelet. The PRX is powered by a 23-jewel automatic Powermatic 80 movement that beats at 3Hz and has an 80-hour power reserve. $750
The Seiko Mai Alarm Clock brings the SKX aesthetic to a clock right down to the misaligned triangle on the rotating 60-minute bezel. Powered by a battery-powered quartz movement and set by a crown located on the top of the case you get the convenience of easy setting and no need to wind it. The alarm clock is equipped with a flashing LED alarm, a snooze function, and on-demand light. The Mai Alarm Clock measures 3.7″ x 1.97″ and weighs 224 grams and can be used at home or for travel. $45
