Crafted in stainless steel and available with five dial variations, black, blue, teal, olive, and black/gold (the latter also features a two-tone gold-plated case), Quantum delivers a well-sized, highly wearable watch with classic good looks for under five hundred US dollars.

The Horizon’s uniquely textured dial is ultra-legible and features thick stainless steel Dauphine-shaped central hour and minute hands, with lume, and a steel baton-shaped central seconds hand. Each hour is marked with large applied, faceted indices, with a double indices at 12. At 3, the index marker has been trimmed to fit a framed date aperture. The tone-on-tone flange is slanted at 45-degrees and has a 60 graduations to mark seconds/minutes precisely. A fixed, stainless steel bezel, that’s been fully polished, frames the dial, while a sapphire crystal protects it.

On the rear, is an exhibition caseback, offering a view of the undecorated (industrial finishing) automatic movement. Driving the three hands, and date wheel, is the reliable, Miyota caliber 8215, which is a 3Hz automatic movement with 21 jewels, and a 42-hour power reserve, and with the ability to hand wind as well as stop seconds for precise time setting.

Fitted with a solid stainless steel 5 link bracelet, integrated directly into the case, that’s 21 mm at the case, and 18 mm at the clasp, the Horizon offers a tailored, high end look and feel, providing a great value to someone looking for to enter the watch market, without breaking the bank, or sacrificing good aesthetics.
