The new Rolex boutique in downtown Toronto has recently opened, featuring a design that evokes Rolex — but is different than what we’re used to seeing.
Run by Boutique Royal De Versailles Jewellers, located on the prestigious Bloor Street in downtown Toronto, Canada, the new Rolex boutique was designed by Partisans, and features an experimental wavy façade that like Rolex cases and components, utilizes CNC machines — to cut the limestone in this instance.
According to Wallpaper, the local Partisans architecture studio team used a CNC parametric composition etched into the façade’s limestone cladding using an algorithm developed in collaboration with computational designer Arturo Tedeschi.
The resulting design is a Rolex boutique, unlike anything we’ve seen before.
