Audemars Piguet recently announced a limited edition version of its Royal Oak Jumbo model featuring a combination of titanium and BMG.

The Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin BMG comes in a 39 mm x 8.1 mm ultra-light grade 5 titanium case with an integrated bracelet, and Bulk Metallic Glass (palladium-based alloy) bezel, caseback frame, and bracelet studs.

For this limited edition, Audemars Piguet gave the dial a smooth surface, painted with a smoked burgundy red gradient that’s dark on the edges and fades towards lighter red hues towards the center. Pink gold hour indices and hands were used to provide contrast, whereas the bezel screws are in the traditional white gold material.

Driving the hour and minute hands, and the color-matched date wheel, is Audemars Piguet’s caliber 7121, which was introduced in 2022 as part of the Royal Oak’s 50th anniversary. The 3.2 mm thin 4Hz automatic movement features a skeletonized, centrally mounted, gold rotor, and has a 55-hour maximum power reserve.

Availability of the 2023 Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin BMG (Ref. 16202XT.OO.1240XT.01) will be limited to AP houses and boutiques and the retail price will be an estimated $95K.
