This year at Baselworld Omega released a modern version of the 1969 Omega Speedmaster Mark II. The original Speedmaster Mark II was equipped with the hand-wound caliber 861, whereas the new model is powered by Co-Axial caliber 3330, a self-winding movement with silicon balance spring and column-wheel chronograph mechanism.

The new Mark II comes in a case measuring 42.40 mm by 14.85 mm and is available in two versions: one with a matt black dial and the other with a matt grey dial and fluorescent orange accents.

The case features a mixture of brushed and polished surfaces. The bezel and case band are brushed and the case edges, crown, and pushers are fully polished. The dial features three sub-dials and a date window at 6 o’clock. The hour, minute, and chronograph second hand, as well as the indexes, feature a luminous treatment.

The Speedmaster MKII is fitted with a brushed stainless steel bracelet, with Omega’s patented extendable foldover rack-and-pusher clasp.
