This morning Tudor announced a new boutique exclusive version of the Black Bay Chrono.
The Black Bay Chrono “Blue” Boutique Edition comes in the same 41 mm stainless steel case as the current version and features a new matching blue dial and a blue anodized aluminum insert within the fixed stainless steel bezel.
Driving the hours, minutes, small seconds, date, and chronograph displays is the existing in-house Tudor 4Hz automatic bidirectional winding caliber MT5813 which is certified by the COSC-certified and features a silicon balance spring, a 70-hour power reserve, a column wheel construction, and a vertical clutch. Though this is not a Master Chronometer, Tudor adjusts the watch to -2/+4 once it’s fully cased, which exceeds the -4/+6 COSC chronometer standard.
The domed dial has a sunburst finish with contrasting silver subdials, with white text and red on the tip of the chronograph seconds hand and for the water-resistant rating (which is 200 meters) and is protected by a domed sapphire crystal. The watch has a screw-down crown, screw-down pushers, and a screw-in caseback.
The Black Bay Chrono “Blue” Boutique Edition (Ref. M79360B-0002) case offers a mixture of brushed and polished surfaces and is paired with a 5-link stainless steel bracelet with Tudor’s “T-fit” rapid adjustment clasp. The retail price is $5,675 and it’s available exclusively at Tudor boutiques worldwide.
